An Seomra Yoga is a comfortable and relaxed yoga studio with hardwood floors and large natural light windows in the heart of Galway's West End in Galway City. It offers the widest range of Yoga styles in town from experienced teachers. Classes include Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Children's Yoga in addition to regular workshops in Restorative Yoga , Pilates, Partner Yoga and Thai Yoga Massage.
Yoga is about taking care of yourself. It is simply a tool to help us lead a healthier, more fulfilled and content life. Our idea is that yoga is for everyday life. It can be challenging but should never be laboured or painful. Each student works to their own level. It should be simple but stimulating.
An seomra - the people
In 2009 Paul and Katrina opened An Seomra Yoga in Galways’ West End. Welcoming locals and visitors, offering a wide variety of yoga classes and styles in the belief that yoga is truly for everyone and that no one class or style fits all.
A Galway native, Katrina initially began to practice Yoga after moving to Seattle, Washington in 1994 as therapy for back pain. Her love of yoga began in this very first Integral Yoga class.
Paul, co-owner, did his first yoga class in Seattle in 1994. He had previously studied and practiced martial arts and represented Ireland internationally in all style Karate but then shifted his focus to yoga after being introduced to it by Katrina.

Prenatal yoga is a great way to put time aside for yourself and your baby. Practicing Yoga in pregnancy helps to strengthen and stretch muscles, release tension and maintain good posture.
